I will try to keep this short. I am at my wits end trying to find 9mm Speer 124gr +p ammo. I have been to over 20 sites that say they carry it, but the catch is that either…

-They are out of it.
-They carry every bullet Speer makes except this one
-It is the reclassified crap, which I don’t want
-They are not sure if it is reclassified or not (and that simply will not cut it b/c it is for personal protection)
-The shipping exceeds $10 a box
-They only sell to dealers

I am pulling my hair out!!!! All I want is a few boxes of this stuff (the premium quality not this reclassified stuff) and it seems like it is impossible to get! I have spent about 6 hours on the computer today, made 10 phone calls and nobody has it. For it to be such a great round why is it impossible to find. So my challenge to you is this/my plea to you is this. Give me a link to where I can get this ammo that does not have one of the above problems. Please don’t just put something like… ammoman.com b/c they don’t have it #1 and #2 it takes me like 30 minutes on the site to figure that out. Where do all of you that use this ammo get it?

Please help me with this I will be eternally grateful!!!

I don't have anything specific. Have you tried www.froogle.com ? Put in speer +p or something like that.

Sounds like your brain is fixated on a brand of ammo not easily found. Maybe you should fixate your brain on a brand that is more easily attainable.

I got myself a box of these off of gunbroker.com just two days ago. I also had a hard time finding any. The company selling them was GT Distributors. They are a police supply place, so I don't know if they have any policies about who can buy their ammo but I don't think so since I got it at auction. Anyways, here's a link to what they have.

Too bad! There are many of us here on the forum
who have bought tens of thousands of these rounds
and spent them down range without a problem at all.

I wouldn't venture a count of my own supply, but, it

Alll thay need is a copy of your D/L for proof of age.That will get you all the Ammunition you can shoot.Just cant get guns.

I would have ordered some from them earlier today if they would have let me, but the guy on the phone told me they only sell to dealers.

Glad to know it worked out, I will probably buy from them again in the future. Their shipping was cheaper than most ($5.95) and it arrived the next day for me. I live relatively close though.

I just ordered $60 worth of stuff, inlcuded was a single box of 147gr WWB to test out, I was never asked nor contacted about having a copy of my license. I was a first-time buyer from them as well.

What do you mean? Are you saying that they no longer make the 124+p or that this particular type of 124+p is different?

If you're ordering only one box of ammo over the internet then you're going to pay way too much in shipping relative to what you're getting. You usually have to order in bulk to make the cost of shipping worth it.

Sometimes defense ammo is an exception to that rule because gun dealers tend to charge quite a bit for it in store.

Do any of your know if the only difference in these is the box or is one box used for the reclassified and the other for regular stuff? Is one of them older stuff and the other newer? I know it seems like a dumb question, but I am just curious b/c I see it in both boxes...

Also, is there a way to know for sure if what you are using is the reclassified stuff?

As for the difference in packaging, all of the gold dots I've ever seen here locally and used were in the black box. I've never seen the gold ones.
