From what I know the HS2000 is the same as the S.A. XD ,,,,but with S.A. stamped on it as the importer, correct ? If so then could you say that the S.A. XD is a HS2000 that is imported and stamped as a S.A. XD ?

You could. IM metal imported the original HS2000's though. So when SpringField took over, the name changed to XD

HS2K = XD

There are some variances depending on when the model was built and released, but yes, they are the same gun.

It's not the same gun. On one it says "HS2000" and on the other "SA-XD".

WELL HELLO !!!!! DAAAA !!!!! Haha . I am kidding .
Now being serious , I thought they were all the same , being all of them are made in Croatia and I thought that S.A. were just the importers.
After all , they do have "made in Croatia" on them all .

Tell 'em Jim!!

By the way, for historical purposes,
IM Metal was the first named manufacurer
of the HS2K, which was later bought out
by the present maker of the HS2K/SAXD,
HSProduckt of Croatia.

The original importer was INTRAC out of
TN. They dropped the ball, and SA slipped
in and got the import rights. The rest is
history. For further education on the birth
of the HS2K, please go to Ajames's web
site. All the history is there.
