I have a gun i want to trade, so i assume i ship it to his FFL.

And than he ships the gun to my FFL.

If you did a trade, how can you prevent getting ripped off? Like the guy shipping a box of rocks and then making off with your gun?

I guess if the guy has a good "feedback" rating here on XD talk (Search his posts). Ask questions, maybe talk to him on the phone, request pictures, go with your gut I guess.

Same goes for ebay really. What prevents someone from making off with your money?

The easy way is to do it Front to Front., if you can not, get all the info of the gun, pics...etc...

Get his home address and home phone, and call him to make sure its real. Also get the his FFL's phone number and call it.Make sure you insure your weapon that your tradeing. If your gun is worth $500 insure it for $1000.Ive never had a problem "trading" guns over the net but I guess their are some bad apples out there,so look out for yourself and do all you can do to prevent being "riped off".
