I was doing an inventory today and found I am low in 9mm and .45. How much ammo do you have 'for emergencies'?

My supply, (not as much as I'd like but times are tough)
12g - 300 shells (everything from buck to duck to game loads)
30.06 - 160rds (but a 1000rds of WWII surplus coming)
.223/5.56 - 2900rds
.45 - 750 rds
9mm - 550 rds

I have news for the 'classifieds'. When they come for your guns, they'll come for your ammo as well. Whether you post up here or not. With that said, they'll get my ammo lead first.

162 HP .22lr (but I don't really count this)
no shotgun.

I'm in pretty bad shape. If the $hit ever hits the fan, I'm unprepared to dig in for very long. Now if I get the chance to scavenge some ammo/weapons off of bodies I'll be in better shape. That's a pretty morbid thought...

I am down to 32 rounds essentially two magazines full of self defense rounds. I so need to stock up on ammo but the wife won't let me since she handles all the money. That and sucks living paycheck to paycheck because she hasn't started her new job yet and i am in the process of finding a new job and I am still living with my parents still GAH I need more ammo!!!!!! I wish I could afford a bulk amount of 9mm ammo. i think I have more then plenty .22 ammo but that stuff is cheaper then dirt so.

I'm pretty short. 2k 9mm, 1k or so of 7.62X39, 1.5k .41mag. , 3k .22 lr., 400 .380 acp, 3 0r 4 hundred 12ga. buck to birdshot, far less 20ga. and 16 ga. .Some muzzle loader supplies . Enough to load a few hundred pistol rounds.

Well, I got up this morning, grabbed my guns and ammo, headed for the lake, shot all of my ammo until barrels were red hot and ruined, then on the way back, we accidentally capsized the boat, losing all of my firearms in the process, and now I'm going to have some turkey. Praise Obama.
