"Hawaii gun show" seems like an oximoron from what I've heard about their gun laws

Hawaii actually has a very active second amendment community. This would be the 69th semi-annual gun show. 200 tables with a lot of historical displays, commercial tables and lots of guys "cleaning out the closets". This year's biggie will be a display of "US Sniper rifles 1917 to present."

Hawaii laws are lousy since it's a very "blue" state. (e.g. More than 10 round mag. ban, 14 day wait period, long and handgun buy permits, registration of all firearms) But the gun owners are not to be denied. Hawaii gun ownership is at a record high and the public range is very busy. The number of Honolulu gun shops have doubled in recent years.

By the way the gun show is held at the city's sports and cultural center. It's been held there for decades and the city government have never frown on jillions of firearms coming in and out.

Hawaii has horrible gun laws, but nothing like California, New York City, Chicago or Washington DC.
