Holster for S&W 642 "J" Frame Revolver?

Considering a 642 J-frame for ultimate concealment and a lightweight option in warm or business clothing. I normally use a CTAC slide for my other pistols but thinking that might be a bit too much for the small 642. I'm definitly looking for an IWB for the 3:30/4 o'clock position. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

I carried my two revolvers and my current Kel-Tec in those little cheap Uncle Mike's sock holsters. They're like 15 bucks and are a good enough IWB for most carry. Recently, I picked up an ankle holster from Uncle Mike's. It'll take some getting used to if you go that route, but I haven't looked back. It's not my only way to carry, but I use it often, especially in warm weather.

I've been using a Don Hume 715M IWB for several years to carry my S&W mod 49 J frame and it's been a good holster for the purpose.

The clip is strong and the holster carries well with good belt. It sits deep into the waistline, which is important to me, with a short barrelled gun they tend to get top heavy and floppy if the holster doesn't put the weight low. It's easy on and off - and is comfortable.

My all steel j-frame will be a good bit heavier than the 642, but I don't notice it after I get it warmed up. I'd say this is a good choice for a good price.

You may want to consider a clipdraw for it. The new design for the j-frame seems to be improved over previous models. It would sit perfectly at 3:30 it would seem.

When I carry the j-frame, it's almost always in the right front pocket. If I'm going on a trip where I'll be in a car, I use a Bianchi accumold belt slide and carry crossdraw. Makes drawing from a car very easy!
