No... I'm not a pot smoking republican... the title refers to my first day out with the new xdm9.

I took the plunge and bought one for the girlfriend. We took it out to the range today and put 50 rounds each of Magtech (124gr) and Independence (115gr) through it. Very nice, especially the Magtech, but clearly I need to adjust something- probably me- as I was shooting tight groups... high and right (I think I previously mentioned this).

Good stuff. So the GF has her gun, now I need to go figure out which one I want... 9, 40, or 45... decisions, decisions.

A friend sent me this, I found it useful to figure out what I was doing wrong. :mrgreen:

just got mine a few weeks ago, shoots low and to the left, out of the box. I am assuming the "low" is my fault but i can see the front sight is a little off center. Goin to send it off to SA after Thanksgiving.

Yep! This target was a great tool for me when I switched from my old Colt 1911 to my XD40. I got right on target by using it!
