I was at a local gunshow this weekend, and came across a vendor that had created a really cool product. A holster that is so simple, and worked so well, is amazing that someone else has not thought of it before.

It is called the HIDE-It holster. I actually tried it out, and will be purchasing one for myself. It was so comfortable, and would of never thought your pistol could ride so comfortable inside your pants, even while seated. Would of bought it on the spot, if I hadn't already gone through my daily allowance. The vendor sold 3 of them in just the time I was standing there. He also commented that Air Marshalls are buying them like crazy.

This would be good for "deep concealment" options, but since I don't need to go that deep for EDC, it's not for me.

Also, I'm not sure I like the "Viagra" draw... looks like it forces you to put your hand in front of the barrel to push upwards. That's definitely not for me.

Finally, the bulk of the system and its arrangement would lead to difficulty in drawing under pressure. Accelerated draws are tricky to begin with, clearing a jacket / shirt / shirt-tails... then factor in that you've gotta expand your waistband to lift the weapon. For me, when I'm carrying I like the waistband to be fairly snug to reduce jiggle and play... so I'd have to loosen my belt by several notches to clear the width of the gun, and then on top of that I'd have to pull the waistband aside just to draw?

It disappears nicely, and for undercover / deep concealment it might be a viable option -- but I don't think it'll be my EDC solution of choice.
