Any help identifying a possible age on this Remington Model700 (7MM Rem Mag) and also the weaver 4-10 scope?

I only have the one picture and need to decide by tomorrow if I want to buy this rifle.
Not knowing what Model of Rem 700 it is and what scope it is, I am not sure what a good deal would be..

Any experts out there that can ID from the one picture?

OK, got 3 more pics from the guy. I have not seen the rifle in person yet, but need to let him know by tomoorow if I am interested. (I still have the option to turn him down, but he was thinking of taking it to a dealer to sell).

I also noticed that the checkering on the stock is a different pattern from what is used now, not sure if that helps indicate it's age.

He is asking $575.
Not knowing what model scope that is, I am unsure if it is a cheap scope or not. I know it is a 4-10, but that's all I know.
