Hey everyone. I found this site a bit ago and fell in love. You all give the best information and I can say that just by reading what you all have said swayed my opinion. Im very interested in the Service Model 4" with external safety, I like the idea of having the extra safety. Can you guys give me some info about this model? It would be very helpful. Anyways it's nice to chat with you guys

To many safetys can get you killed just as easy as to few. There are 3 safetys without the thumb safety. If you don't get it off in a extreme emergency and point and shoot and nothing happens, the perp may have time to shoot you while uou are fiddeling with safetys. IMO

That is very true.I currently use a Smith and Wesson 645. I don't generally carry with the safety on but I do like having the feature just in case I need it when I am carrying it at work.
