I just bought myself an XD9 Subcompact. I had one some time ago and didn't really like it (though now, I really don't remember what I didn't like about it) and traded it at a local gun show. I got the bug to give the XD another try, and to acquire another 9mm. I ended up with a bi-tone model. I've alrady put about 300 rounds through it and am amazed at how accurate it is. very easy to shoot. I also have a Glock 26 and Glock 19. The XD seems to be a cross between the two as far as measurements, weight, and overall feel. That is, the weight and dimensions are pretty close to the 19 but it "feels" more like the 26. However I'm much more accurate with the XD than the 26. Maybe the weight is distributed differently(?). Just my perception. Anyway, very happy with my purchase.
