Hey what grit sand paper do I need to hand polish the barrel? So far I have 280, 320, 400, and 600. Also for buffing would it be safe to use the polishing thing that the dremel came with? I'll posts pictures when I am done :D

I would stay away from the sand paper.... I did mine this weekend and all I used was a buffing wheel and buffing compound. I really doesn't take much to get it to a mirror polish.

i used 320 then 400 to get all the black stuff and machining marks out
then i used the red dremel polish and brasso to finish it off.

You can also use the little black sandpaper disc that came with the dremel...Its about the size of a nickel, and stiff like sandpaper
