I couldn't find any good deals on XD's at the gun show and was half planning to just go home empty handed when I stopped at a table in the middle of the hall and saw something unusual. It was a Swedish Lahti. It's a 9mm pistol that has a grip frame very similar to a Luger. This one has Danish stamping on it, after WWII, the Swedes made some for Danish police forces.
It didn't have great bluing, but it was priced at $300, which the guy was willing to take as the OTD price.
I bought it and took it right out to the range. Using WWB, it shot great. No jams, accurate, and light recoil. Of course, it weighs almost as much as two XD's, so it absorbs alot of recoil.
It's an interesting bit of history.
