Stick with a thin coat of light oil (a drop or two on the rails)! Same on the other contact points...Too much oil or grease draws crud to the areas that you don't want it.

In most cases, I would agree with this. GunButter is the exception to this rule. It is truly a progressive product, unlike any Gun Lube I have seen and/or tried.
Seems great so far. The applicator is a hypodermic sized needle built into the bottle. Should last forever, compared to the jumbo spouts that you typically get on other bottles.
