Can buy virtually the same textured rubber tape used by Decal Grip and made by 3M under the "Safety Walk" name in Home Depot style stores for ca. 69 cents per foot. Good way to save $8 bucks!
3M also makes the sandpaper-like stuff bu the rubber lasts much longer.

i use a hogue grip designed for a glock of some type. it has the finger grooves too. its hard to put on...although the gun store guy didn't like my "use some astroglide" suggestion, i thought it was funny.
