I am determined to get some professional training on defensive/combat handgun. Any recommendations for the Phoenix area? I am looking to eventually get into the advanced classes as money will allow, I would prefer to stick with one place for all the training. I hope this doesn't turn into a bash session on inferior facilities, but I would appreciate any knowledgeable suggestions.

Man, I would love to take his handgun class but I have a hard time justifying $800 and 1500 rounds of ammo.

There are tons of opportunities in your area. What with Ben Avery and Rio Salado?
Good luck, I'm envious of your location.
Certainly between Ben Avery and Rio Salado, you have a figurative buffet of choices. I've heard great things about Travis Haley. I think he partners with Ron Avery frequently as well, and I can tell you that Ron is a tremendous trainer and person.
