I'm the proud owner of a new G19 Gen 3 pistol. I'm thinking of trying just a front night sight for now. Is there any advantage to this or am I wasting my time? I found a front sight that I think was from Glock. Other sights come in pairs. I'm sure I can make a bit that will work to replace the sight. This is my EDC and also sits on the night stand. Any thoughts or input. I'm also open to other brands of sights. BTW I joined a forum exclusive to Glock. I didn't really care for the way people treated each other there. That's why I'm posting here. This feels like home to me. Thanks.:p

As long as the height is the same you should be good.
And I totally agree about the other site. There are a few really knowledgeable guys there but the majority as just as you say.

Ameriglo sells just the fronts or rears

I think there's a lot of benefit to just having a brighter front sight.

There's no distraction; no trying to line up dots. Just put the glowing dot on the target, and press the trigger.

FWIW, there's a LOT of sighting systems that work this way.

Im bringing this back up because as most might know by now I have a Gen4 G23. I want to put night sights on it and I have TFOs on my XD40sc. I want to try a different brand and Im thinking of trying Tijicon or glock night sights. What do you think would be better? I did think of just a front sight.

My Glock is the only gun where I only changed the front sight to a night sight and I have to say that I actually prefer it that way. There's no second guessing which is the front sight at night and where it's pointing as it's the only thing glowing.

I've seen the sights linked below on a G19 and it was really, really nice. The front sight just jumped out at you.
