How do you guys get that picture of the bullet leaving the barrel?
is it darker than usual out?
do i need to just time it right?

I feel i am an good photographer and i still can't get that shot of the flash around the muzzle. I even put my camera on multi shot with the shutter speed of 1600. Any advice would be appreciated.

I see! wow that makes me feel dumb lol. I was thinking how I could do it. Ill just do what you stated above. should be easy enough.

I can't find it right now, but I have a vid of me shooting my dads old shotgun. No flash, but you can see the wadding and shot coming out and spreading if you slow it way down. Really pretty cool

To get a good picture try using an open apeture, slow film and delayed flash.
1. Open apeture, also could use a 1 or 2 second apeture time.
2. Slow film, even digital film can be set slow, so set it as slow as you can get it.
3. Delayed flash. You want the flash to happen after the muzzle flash, but only just after you do it. That's the trick with high speed fotography, it matters little how quickly the shutter snaps, it matters more how quickly the 'film' reacts to the light, and how much light there is.
