Hello all, I have owned my XD9 Service for a while and while pretty dissappointed with accuracy, I have been overall happy with the pistol. Now I have a question, I have quite a few FTE/double feeds. I'm no gunsmith, but I think its the ejector. I just gave it a thourough cleaning here about 15 mins ago and I hope that will take care of it, maybe not paying enough attention while cleaning. So I gave it an inspection Marine Corps cleaning and we'll see. I have plenty of rounds through it, and ideas as to why this may be happening besides fouling?? Thankx for any help.

Mechanically:
Check to make sure the ejector isn't broken off. Its on the frame.
Check the claw on the extractor to make sure it is chipped off. Its on the slide.
Recoil spring could be to heavy if you are shooting light reloads.
Dirt & carbon/powder behind the extractor.

Shooter:
Thumb resting against the slide while shooting, slowing the retraction of the slide.
Limp wristing.
