Is there a significant differenct between the two?
I asked LaserLyte a similar question last week, including a question about use in the daylight. This was their reply:Lumberjack98 said:Is there a significant differenct between the two?
Her answer was not very specific. I figure either is much better than none. I decided to purchase the super bright. For pistol purposes the standard is just fine in dusk to dawn operation. There are no lasers out there that are visible in pure sunny conditions with the exception of green lasers which we do not manufacture. We recently came out with a daylight target that gives you the capability to see the laser dot in any condition which retails for $6.95. The burn time on either laser is the same draw @ 1.5 hours continuous use which translates to 3-4 months on a normal basis. Please feel free to contact Centerfire Systems @ 859-873-2352. Thank you. Based on stats, them seem to be comparable. Here is the link for more information: http://www.pistol-gear.com/proddetail.php?prod=50LSLumberjack98 said:Oldschool,
About how much will the TRUGLO be?
How does it compare to the LaserLyte?
We are going to test this as soon as they arrive. We think yes, however we need to confirm this point.XD_Dan said:Yes, but will it fit the sub-compact? :?:
Correct me if I'm wrong here Old School, but the TRU GLO is a longer package than the LaserLyte. The laser body appears to it may extend further beyond the end of the muzzle than the QD Laser.Lumberjack98 said:and smaller (at least appears to be)
sorry if i missed it, but when do you think youll have them in? If it fits the subby ill be buying one the day their readyOld School said:We are going to test this as soon as they arrive. We think yes, however we need to confirm this point.XD_Dan said:Yes, but will it fit the sub-compact? :?:
From what I have been told, the length of the units are about the same. The QD does have a quick release on the adapter, where the TRUGLO option does not. That said, the quick release on the QD is not very quick from my experience, because of the way is connects to the frame. Perhaps others have a different experience?mcone said:Correct me if I'm wrong here Old School, but the TRU GLO is a longer package than the LaserLyte. Also, it doesn't look like it will snap on and off. Can it be installed very quickly?
Please don't think that I'm knocking your TRU GLO product. It's very impressive for the price. I just want this laser immediately, and it seems to be missing a few features that are available in the more expensive models. (Let me know if I'm wrong on any of this.)
You will most likely need a rig that supports that has a pouch for the M3 too. This is a guess on my part.humblebyday said:not a bad price, but does anyone know of any concealment holsters that will comfortably fit the laserlyte while mounted to the XD? thanks.
