Even the so called "Glock Perfection" has a hiccup or 2 every now and then, the XD's are bound to have one eventually.
Could still be user error if you were laying hands on the slide or rubbing it on the barricade. Easy to do in the heat of the moment.... I was firing around the left side of a barricade and I had a stovepipe. .
I completely agree. No idea what caused it, and the post was more aimed at my disbelief that it did happen. Like I said... 4000 rounds thru and this is the first malfunction.Could still be user error if you were laying hands on the slide or rubbing it on the barricade. Easy to do in the heat of the moment...
(because it couldn't have been the gun, right?)
Similar story for me. My XDM 9 has had maybe 3 stove pipes when my wife was firing and it was her first time at the range. It's never malfunctioned for me. She has gotten much better about limp wristing.I've only put 1000 rounds or so through my XD 9. I've only had 1 stove pipe...and my wife was firing it. I'm fairly certain she was limp wristing it. It's never malfunctioned on me. And only that once on her until she corrected herself.
