And it was worth the wait! Beautiful finish (I get to wear it down myself!), no idiot scratch, bright Mepro's...

Watched the take-down videos on youtube, and managed to get her all apart, lubed, and back together without much hassle. First time taking down a 1911, at all for that matter.
More pics to follow, gotta go get her dirty at the range!

Ahh so this is your first 1911! Is the guide rod a 2 piece or a one piece.

If it is stock...the TLE II has a 1 piece rod.

I was not jazzed about it and swapped it for a standard GI plug and guide rod.

Well, I only had time to run 28 or so rounds today, but I figure I'll post 'em up

First magazine

Second, got the grouping a little bit better

The third and fourth magazines both went at this target. The hits nearest to the bull were all from the last volley I sent out. Lots of room to improve, but I think I fared pretty well for my first 1911 outing. Oh, they were all at 20 feet, wanted to start small :D

Congrats on the TLE II! Kimber makes one fine weapon. Those Mepro's are crazy bright at night to. I used my Custom II as my sidearm when I went hunting and at night they just glowed! it was awesome lol.

Yes! Meps are very good night sights.

I have them on my Glock 22 and the TLE and love them.

Way brighter than the Trijicons on my 96F Beretta.
