I just picked up my XD, 4 inch, 40 caliber, in stainless steel. I got the special with (3) 12 round mags, and the holster. This is my first handgun ever. I can't wait to take it to the range!!! I tell you what though, the magazine springs are stiff!!! After 10 rounds, my thumbs

I just got a 12 round mag and I could only fit 10 in right away. I waited and after several hours, I could put 11 in and then the next morning, I could fit 12. They are very stiff though, my fingers hurt a little after trying to get 12 in right after I got it.

Congradulations! those springs will get weaker with time...Good luck at the range, shoot a box for me please!
