You do realize the FBI provides a large quantity of scientific data regarding ballistic tests as it stands already, right? What difference, in regards to lowest bidder, does it make if they're ordering Glock 23's or Glock 19's? Not a lick.Really you guys? You think the agency gives a crap about the "science" behind the switch? :? It's all about the lowest bidder, and it always has.
There won't be. The FBI won't sell their weapons to anyone other than agents. If that agent chooses to get rid of it they are destroyed. Goes for armor plates and gear too. (Or so I've been told from my FBI friends)
At least they're opting to go to something that is common instead of reinventing the wheel. They could have sought the creation of an entirely new caliber.
