Pro-ears gold muffs with 33db protection. I've got this set and the slim set for hunting. Unlike the cheap ones that simply shut off, the pro-ears filter out the gun shot sounds. It's like it didn't happen. And you don't need to double up with in ear plugs.

You get get them from Gearhog for $188. They normally sell for $290-320 and are worth it at that price if you enjoy keeping your hearing. Yeah, it's expensive but to protect my remaining hearing -- well worth it.

Sorry to sound like a commercial, but these are literally the absolute best you can get and are much cheaper than I've seen ever anywhere!

32db protection and cheap.

True, but I can hear a twig snap at 75-100 yards, while piping in my 2-way radio AND still have 33db protection. But, if it's not valuable to you, certainly stick with the 50cent solution!

Another ruger blackhawk, a case of ammo, or fancy earmuffs hmmm. :???:

Decisions decisions.

Guess I'll just have to wait 6 months for the chinese $50 knock off to come out.
