Does anyone here have any experience with the Radians ProAmp electronic ear protection? http://www.radians.com/hearing/proamp.asp

Id like to know if they are comfortable, reliable and would you purchase them again. Or would you suggest another brand over this model of electronic ear protection? If so why?

Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.

I like them, I use them. They are light and comfortable. The sound quality is good and the stereo sound making is sound as if you have nothing on at all.

We currently offer them on our store, however a fellow member of XDTalk pointed out that Cheaper Than Dirt has them for less. I am not saying you buy from DtD, however the savings is a lot ($15). It seems that DtD bought a ton on a show special, hence their special price, per Radians.

I went with Silencio's. They seemed more comfortable than the Radians when I tried them on. They were more expensive but the extra comfort offset the additional price. I bought my Dad a set of Walkers Quad muffs for deer hunting. He loves those. I just hated to spend that much on another set for me, particularly when they would sit in my range bag. I'll use the difference on ammo. Just my opinion.

The cheap bastard that I am, I went with Harbor Freight electronic muffs for $24.95. The sound quality sucks, but it is definitely good enough for less than $25.
I ordered a pair of the Peltor Tactical 7S….they should arrive tomorrow. I also ordered a pair of the Harbor Freight ones but only paid 19.95. I figure they will be good enough for guest and a backup pair in a pinch.

I have a ProAmps, that I got about a month ago. The work well and fold up nicely for easy storage. They are not as comfortable as the larger type ear muffs and don't muffel as well as the larger one either. For me it was a trade off for compactness and price (paid somthing like $68 shipped from ebay). I use earplugs with them (I've always used ear plugs with what ever hear pertection I wore) and they work great. I can hear what people are saying now, without having to say "what?.... What?".

There smaller size also is nice for those that shoot rifels, the don't get in th way as much.

Over all I'm happy with them. May get an other pair for when I take a buddy shooting.
