In searching this topic I found that some side to side "play" in the XD's ejector is "normal". My friend's new XD-9 has a slight amount of wiggle, but mine has a much greater amount. I can't help but think that sooner or later that amount of wiggle will cause ejection problems, but so far (only 250 rds. thru my new pistol) ejection seems to be OK. Empties from most ammo eject a little back and right. Blazer brass ejects erratically & sometimes hits me in the head or shoulder.
