I was looking at guns at my local gander mtn and was talking to the salesman (dad of my friend) about sub sonic .22 ammo. Then another guy asked what gun it was for. I said 10/22 and he told me that dynapoint ammo from k-mart? was the best ammo for stock 10/22's. It's not sub-sonic, but i was intrigued by his claim. I don't really go to k-mart because it is out of the way, so i was wondering if anyone knows about this ammo/gun combination. Thanks

Dynapoint (Winchester) comes in bulk boxes like the Federal hollow points from Wal-Mart. It's good stuff, but the Federal is a bit cleaner (less wax on the bullet) and shoots better in my 10/22 or any other rifle or pistol for that matter.
I've seen Dynapoints at Wal-mart. K-Marts in my area don't sell ammo or guns anymore.

My 10/22 will shoot just about anything. I usually just by the cheapest of whatever is available. Maybe the clerk was thing the same.

Many moons ago, the Dynapoint ammo was the king of the roost
in .22 cal ammo. Then it went off the market and has just somewhat
recently reappeared.

I shoot it in some of my semi's but mostly in smqll bore single
shots. For me, it works as good as some of the $8 per box ammo.
