Same as Glock, no problem right? Just checking. I get my new XD Service .40 today.

Well, usually no, no problem. Keep in mind though that the firing pin will slam into the pin stop roll pin everytime. My roll pin broke, most likely due to excessive dry firing. No biggy though, SA sent me a new one free of charge, and you can buy them at the local hardware store.

No problems at all. Just be sure to triple check to see that your chamber is empty and the magazine is removed from the pistol. You only need to draw the slide back about a half inch to re-cock the firing pin.

Congrats on the new .40! I love mine--2000+ rounds and very reliable.

Currently you need to reset the striker manually. (rack the slide back a bit)

Maybe someone will develop the practice trigger like Glock aparently now has.

I think I'm going to start using a snap cap. My firing pin indicator broke a couple weeks back while dry firing. Springfield squared me away with a warranty replacement and I bought another just in case. Probably would have worked with the broken one.
