I'm waiting until Christmas to buy an electronic drum set, I got hooked after playing a set at Best Buy but they are way overpriced. I'll probably get it online somewhere zzounds.com looked reasonable, any better places to shop online for a set?

^ I was looking at the Yamaha DTXpress iv, it's a pretty basic system. I am still looking but I'd like to stay in the 1-2k range, the Roland systems look and sound pretty sweet but those are beyond my wife negotiating skills.

Yeah, it is hard to beat the Roland kits, but it is also hard to afford 'em.

Roland is a hard brand to beat. I don't do much with drum sets (electric or otherwise), but I've used a plethora of their other pro audio gear. Really good stuff.

Yeah that's about right, I still can't believe I gave her the xd because I felt bad for selling the revolver... oh well, I'll just have to get a new xd for myself later to cheer myself up... :lol:

Somewhat agree but I can throw on the headphones and play it at 3am and not have my front door kicked in by the local pd.... :lol:
