Greetings all,

Has anyone installed a DPM had experience with a DPM set up in their XDM 10mm. I've been contemplating on getting the DPM recoil spring/rod system for my XDM 5.25 10mm.

Question is: will the model for the 45acp (highly suspecting it's identical to the 9mm version) function on the 10mm? Or should I just get the 9mm version and experiment with different weight 1911 springs?

I have it for my 9mm 5.25, and it really does work. Tested it side by side with my cousin's stock xdm 5.25. We both timed better and hit more consecutively with the DPM system.
Video shows the XDM 9mm with the DPM system. 9 hits on target (19 meters away) in 3 seconds is pretty darn good for a common enthusiast imo.

Update: I took the chance and tried the heavier DPM system for the 9mm and it worked without visible damage to the frame block or barrel lug.

Felt better, but I think a heavier 1911 spring will make it run smoother/softer.

I know this thread is a few years old, but I was wondering if you attempted the DPM in your 10mm XDM?

Just exactly what is that video supposed to display and what difference is this device over a $7 Wolff 20-22# spring?
