With the wolff set up you will not need any washers to hold the guide rod centered, since the rod is made to fit the hole in the slide pretty darn well. On the down side it takes only wolff springs. Its balck if you want a black rod and not something thats "visible"
Dons takes certain springs but if you look are available in other places you just have to know what your looking for. Dons uses a washer to keep centered the kit comes with 4 to suit you style, in all truth I have used my original for over 4-5000 rounds and do not feel the need to replace. there have been reports of a bent washer or dings in the washers but mostly its cosmetic now with the wolf setup and heavy 357/40 loads the spring wants to wind and on occasion has poped a coil out of the slide.
Now to tell the truth its more up to your personal prefrence, if you have a tactical then you will have to use Don`s set up if you need low profile the Wolff may be a better option. And with the wolff comes a free extra power firing pin spring.
