the larger spring reuces muzzle flip the rod is hand made of stainless or tugston factory rod occassionaly shatter and the tungston is alot haevier if you need more info you should visit dons guige rod forum has alot of info :shock:
You don't need a different rod on your Tactical to use a heavier spring, you can simply use any spring made for a 1911 govenment model. For the Tactical my rod adds a little more weight and some stainless bling. 8)
Hey all Ive got a guide rod and wolff spring for my 4" service and it rocks goes real well with the bi-tone scheme to. And Don we no that you dont have to replace the guide rod on the tactical but yours looks so freakin cool once its in its a very worthy investment.
