I voted for him, and although I don't think he's nearly as bad as the MSM would lead us to believe, he certainly hasn't been as conservative as I thought he'd be.

I think he's doing better than Kerry would have, but he's still doing a pretty bad job.

Of course, he's doing MUCH better than Congress, so at least he has that going for him.

I think he's had his struggles, but I firmly believe he's done a much better job than any alternatives. Can you imagine what Gore or Kerry would've done to this country?
what about perot or nader? didn't one of them run as IND or something?

i'd have voted for them, if i knew then what i know now.

I too unfortunately voted for W in 2004, but for Kerry in 2003.

I just wanted someone else in. now that i realize the folly of that way of thinking - I wouldn't vote for any of them.

Bush has done things for me, as a married parent, that have put a lot of cash in my pocket. I am not convinced that he is responsible for off-shoring and the mortgage crisis.

With that said, he did very little for me, as a gun owner. He did very little for unborn children. I only hope that Obama would be as ineffective of a liberal as Bush was as a conservative.

i do and i don't. the man has dealt with a viscous congress for 6 years and has reverted to socialist policies to gain favor. I have a lot of respect for him as a man, but not a politician. The only area i agree with him on is foreign policy.

We'll never really know what kind of President G.W. Bush would have or could have been because less than a year into his first term the country was fundementally changed (9/11). He has made some mistakes, but as has been mentioned, he was in seriously unchartered territory. Would someone else have handled it differently/better/the same... We'll never know. We could be better off after all these years, but we certainly could be much worse off as well.

One thing is for certain, though. Neither Bush (I or II) is a "true conservative". They never have been.

I could not have said it better. It's very easy for John Q Public to point the finger but never in US history has a president had to deal with the garbage that Bush has. I'm by no means saying that I agree with his decisions across the board but I thank God every day that we aren't fighting a war on my home soil right now.
