Im sure this has been asked before, but I'm new to the forum....does anyone know if any law enforcement agencies actually ISSUE the Springfield XD? (I know they are "approved" in many agencies) I know of one near where I live in WI that issues XD-45's, just wondering if there are others that issue them?

What I'm noticing a lot these days is that officers are usually able to choose a sidearm from about five or six different manufacturers and Springfield Armory is more often than not, one of them. Glock, Sig, and Beretta are also choices.

Ya most departments get to choose as long as you qualify with your weapon. At least all the departments I know do. Mine makes me qualify with my on and off duty weapons. I use my XDM

The U.S. Civilian Militia issued me my XD....Assh*les made me pay for it though...
