Sorry if this has been asked 1,000 times, but I just want to make sure this is correct.

I can simply order the .40 subcompact magazines, and they will fit the 9mmSC? Are there any feeding problems that you know of when this is done?

Thanks

Yes they will work. You may need to tweak the mag lips a bit so the 9mm round sits at the proper height. I had to adjust mine in just a tad. Compare how a round sits in your original mag and adjust to acheive the same height in the .40. Expect them to hold 12 rounds. I have had zero problems with many rounds through this combo in my SC.

I've shot 9mm out out my .40 mag without any mods. I tried sc 9mm once at the range, and I had my regular .40 mags. I even topped it out with 15 rounds.....

Try it first before you start making adjustments.....

That is great to know. Thanks for the reply's!

I had no idea I could carry 15 rounds flush with the subcompact. That kind of makes the regular size mags that extend out the bottom, obsolete, unless you're wanted the extended grip.

The only problems now, is finding them. Every website I've visited, is out of magazines!!

You must have missed the word "regular" in poortrader's post, they will stick out about 1".
The best you can do flush is 12-13 rounds +1 in the pipe.

Regular .40 mags and 9mm high capacity are the same. Before the ban was lifted, I read a lot of threads of people taking a dremel and removing the dimple that was at the bottom of the magazine that keeps the mag from holding more than 10. On the subcompact, standard 9mm have the dimple, while the sub .40 mags do not.

Standard capacity for subs is .40 (9) and 9mm (10) without any mods. Because the sub .40 mag does not have the dimple, they are able to stuff 12 rounds into the magazine.

Hope this explains things without pictures. Or the next time, you're in a gunstore, ask them to see both the 9mm and .40 sub at the sametime.
