Hello...picked up an XDS 45 and using this for my day to day carry. Being as I have worked in a full carry service environment for a number of years, I became used to a retention holster. I was in full tactical gear so carrying was always open carry. NYS requires us to C/C but with the amount of activity as well as amount of time spent motorcycle riding I am always a bit anxious about OWB holstering without and secondary retention.


I have not yet received the new holster and the small amount of reviews I have seen on these seem to focus on the fact they high ride which is a plus for me. My question is, how much do these profile as well as daily comfort. Thanks

I carry a XDs in a Thumb Break Mini slide. I like it a lot. I do wear a t-shirt or a tank top tucked in other wise the holster tends to rub on my skin. I wear the holsterabout 4-5 o'clock. With a untucked button up shirt. I wear this set up from 6 AM to 9 PM every day, driving, at the office, working in the shop, it works. The holster tucks in well, tight to the body.

I also have a Thumb Break Scabord for my XDm .40.

Thanks Greg. Yeah, with my other carry weapons, I always have a t shirt under and wear an over shirt for conceal. I am fairly lean so I profile fairly easily. Nice to hear this holster fits snug to the body and rides a bit high. I also tend to wear at 4-5.

I received my desantis a few weeks ago and haven't gone back to IWB since. Love it!

Been looking at the Desantis for a while. Now carrying in Alien Gear that hides very well and is kind of comfy but hate having to wear pants that are too big. How much higher does the Desantis ride than the factory holster?

Does anyone have any pictures of them wearing one of these? I would like to see one in the 3:00 position so I could compare the ride height to the factory holster. Thanks.
