I see on gunbroker.com they now have 5 inch XDs avaliable with the gear up package (extra mag and a holster).

This bites because I bought my XD after christmas and I allready emailed springfield and they said I dont qualify.

I really dont care about the holster but the extra mag would have been nice.

At the SHOT Show in January, the Springfield reps explained that each XD gear package will be an exclusive offer with one distributor for the first month of the offering and then it will be offered to all the distributors. The XD Sub Compact package was exclusive with Acu-Sport for the first month, and then released to them all on February 1st. The next package was exclusive with either RSR or Elliott Brothers, but I don't remember which one.

That's why each package is kind of scarce when first announced, and it's an incentive for each distributor to push it when it first comes out.

Probably by the time you paid for shipping and FFL transfer for a Gunbroker puchase you could purchase a couple of magazines.
