howdy , does anyone know how to convert .38 super magazines to feed .38 special ammo, in 1950's and 60's these coversion were popular and some must know the technique, please post , rob

I believe the super is a semi rimmed case and the .38 special is a rimmed case, might be hard to get it to feed correctly.

I think your best bet would be to contact Jim Clark Jr. @ Clark Custom Guns in Princeton Louisiana.

a .38 special cartridge is considerably longer than a .38 super cartridge.

If you could modify a 1911 style magazine to accept them I would think it would be difficult to actually fit it in the magwell of the gun.


Why would you want to crap up a perfectly good .38 super anyway with slow boring rounds?
