Just ordered my XD9 sc, and I want to have a holster ready to go when it comes in. So what do you guys recommend for CC holsters. I would prefer IWB or pocket suggestions. Ankle is allright too.
Thanks for the help!
They also have a package deal in their specails section which includes a belt and mag pouch for $129 that seems like a pretty good deal. I dunno' though... I have to pay off all my credit card bills from Christmas before buying anymore gun stuff... (except bullets.. I need bullets. I can wait on the holster.. but bullets are a must!)
Try DeSantis Leather too. Kramer Leather. Additionaly High Noon Holsters is a good source. I am not too happy with Blade-Tech IWB, very unfortable. I prefer leather agains my bare skin.
FYI - I use and love my $35 "Hidden Ally" Highnoon Holster. It's tuckable, comfortable and holds my XD-9SC perfectly and snugly. Only thing is that it does not have an adjustable cant (straight drop cant) but that does not bother me. I wear mine in about the 4:00 position as to not stick out off my hip too far.
FYI - I am 205 & 6' tall so I'm not super thin or large - average build w/ a little bit of a gut (hey, who doesn't except [TASF]Overkill? ) and the concealment is great. Since I got my CCW last month - I've yet to have anyone notice it. Links to pics below.....
Regards,
P.S. Here is my XD9SC in the Highnoon holster - along w/ my XD40 4" in my Cendex Taylor Nighthawk holster & Kershaw Blur!
I daily carry with a DeSantis "Tuck This." I know it's a nylon holster... And I'm going to get slammed for not getting a leather one. But I like the tuck this because it's an ambi holster (I'm a southpaw) and has an attached extra mag pouch. I usually carry cross draw at 3 o'clock or strong side at 8 or 9. It has a quick clean draw and reholsters quickly. It sits low IWB and I can get away with wearing a t-shirt. I'm 6'2 and 190 and it doesn't poke out.
