I am looking for a value for the firearm below
1975 Colt Combat Commander
Satin finish
45acp
New in box with all paper work. It is unfired.

The Blue Book of Gun Values has the Series 70 Colt Combat Commander in 100% satin finish at $1500. I have found this reference tends to be conservative.

And whatever the market will bear.
I wistfully gaze at gunbroker.com to see what they are currently selling my former 1979 Colt Combat Commander I paid $450 for. They seem to be like Harley's, gaining value all the time.
I would start there, and raise or lower your price depending on how bad you need to sell it.

I have that same pistol but a 1973 made version. One of my faves.

Like new in the box...yeah....1200-1500 is not out of line at all.

This is why many of us buy Colt 1911s and stay away from others...they always go up in value more than any other 1911 and always will.

Hopefully the same can be said about my rifle. My 6940 is the only Colt I own...
