I have Truglo TFOs on my XD9 for a little over 3 months now. I have shot over 1K rounds since I had it installed and it's holding up pretty well.
The sights are very easy to clean as long as you don't use cleaners/ lubricants that has harsh chemical compounds in it since the fiber optics is made of polystyrene (same ingredient used for disposable styrofoam cups). You can always do a self test by dropping a few drops of your cleaner/ lubricant on a styrofoam cup and let it sit there for a couple of minutes and if it didn't show any signs of damage to the cup then it should be fine.
I have used Eezox on my slide and my Truglo TFO sights never had issues or problems from direct exposure to it so it's safe to say that well known gun cleaners/ lubricant's such as Hoppe's, CLP, etc. would work just fine. If your concern about damage you can always mask the sights with strips of tape while you clean or spray your pistol with your desired cleaner/ lubricant
