i want to use a little ultrasonic cleaner to clean my guns... but i'm wondering what cleaner i should be using...

here's a link to the cleaner on ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=67720&item=4961740888&rd=1

i don't want something that's gonna light up when i hit the power switch!... but i think that hoppe's 9 (for instance) is kerosene based, and i don't think it would light off a spark in the electric... but that's why i'm asking the collective knowledge of this great board!

gimme some direction.

Check my signature for the Ultrasonic Cleaning article I wrote last year.
Be sure the tank dimensions will fit the parts you want to clean. Does it come with a basket? You should not put the parts in contact with the bottom of the unit. Have fun. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

While that's a cheap cleaner, its quite small at just one pint or 16 ounces.

Assuming those counter tile are 4" each, that makes the unit less than 8" wide, so count the sides, its probably 6" or less wide inside and probably around 4" wide.

Quite small to use to clean firearms imho.
