Does anyone know a good place to get 7.62x39mm ammo in small quantities, like 20 or 50 rd boxes? Does Academy sell Wolf ammo?

I just don't want to buy 500 or 1000 rounds right now and shipping is expensive on small quantities so I'm looking for a retail store to buy some from.

Try a local gunshop if there's one around you. I know the two that I frequently shop in offer in single boxes.

Reg price is $2.29 per 20 of Wolf, $1.99 when on sale.

When I need x39 I just get it there, not worth the trouble of dicking around with shipping costs imho.

I'm not 100% about Walmart but they do sell 223 55gr for $7 and some change for 40rd, loose packed, I'm unsure if they sell x39 like that or not. If so, not a bad price at all for brass cased ammo!
