Hey all....new member here who just picked up his first pistol....SA xd40 tatical...boy is this thing a tack driver. I haven't fired enough rounds through it yet that I feel comfortable choosing a particular load to carry but I want to start thinking about a holster. Is there anything out there for small of the back or waistband for the tatical model?

Also having a few FTF problems on my first outting but hoping that after it breaks in that will go away...will keep you informed.

Personally I think the Tactical is too big for CCW but don't let my opinion deter you.

I just received my High Noon Slide Guard for my XD40 Tactical. If you don't want to spend that much Don Hume makes a open top for about $40 the only real difference is the lack of hand boning.

My XD40 has been 100% out of the box (no break in needed).

I'm using a Tucker Answer for carry, extremely comfortable, worth the money (especially considering my collection of holsters that i don't use...)

If you look at pics, you'll see they're open on the bottom. I have a service model, tactical would fit fine. If you order for a tactical they'll probably make the leather a little longer on the bottom so leather will keep the barrel off of you.

One handed re-holstering, very nice for range practice. Nothing but suede against you, I wear mine for 10 hrs at a time, no problem, now I notice when I don't have it on, not when i do have it on.
pistol-gear.com is carrying them now, or direct from tuckergunleather.com
