Just bought a Sig 1911, 4" barrel, shorter Officer grip. Came with a CT laser (I don't really want), but it feels great, nice heaft and quality feel.

Built a bit different, small lever on right side of frame that moves verticle, don't quite know what it is for.

Anyone have experience with the Sig take on the classic 1911? Can't get to the range for awhile, but would like to hear experiences?

The size you own is referred to as a CCO size. 4" barrel on an officer frame.

As for the lever on the right side, that is an ambidextrous safety. When you move it up, it will move the same lever up on the opposite side of the gun.

Picture? Make sure to keep us posted, I almost bought a Platinum Elite but haven't heard anything good or bad about it. Also whats the deal with the extractor, are those external ones easier or harder to adjust I wonder?

Its a Sig, if they are like mine, they will all be fine!

Tanks guys, do want some G10.

However, the lever I'm speaking of is not externan, it is inside of the frame. Thet are similar to the S&W 5900 series pistols that get in the way of the slide during reassembly.

You'll like it. I had an almost new C3 stolen in February, and immediately bought another just like it. I usually carry the C3 over my Ultra Carry II, STI Escort, or SA lightweight Loaded FS 1911.
