I got my new holster today! :D

A BlackHawk CQC Carbon Fiber Holster W/Serpa Active Retention, I got the Right hand model in a Matte Black. Model # 410507BK-R

It cost $39.99 + 5.95 shipping.

I am very happy with it. it comes with an attachment for your belt or an attachment to make it a paddle holster. It is very easy to change. Just 3 phillips screws.

Each attachment (belt or paddle) has a 5 position adjustment for cant (I think that is the correct term) 1 position straight up and down, 2 postitions forward, and 2 postions back.

The belt attachment is adjustable for a belt from 1/4" to a little over 1 1/2".

The passive retention adjustment is easily done with a phillips screwdriver.

The Serpa Active Retention System is very nice. When you holster your XD you hear a click. Your XD won't pull out. To draw your XD your trigger finger naturally slides right to the button, push in on the button and draw, your finger is positioned right above the trigger on the side. To holster your XD, it just slides in place and click, it is locked in.

The bottom of the holster is open. My XD9 - 4" does not stick out the end, but the 5" would stick out.

So far I like the paddle holster with it angle forward in the farthest position. I can sit in my computer chair very comfortably. This is my 3rd holster. I like it the best so far.

Here are the pictures.

The phillips screw you see below my finger is the passive retention adjustment screw.

are you sure thats the carbon fiber one? I thought the carbon fiber one looked different... perhaps i'm wrong.
At least everything says it is. In reality I would not know the difference between carbon fiber or plastic......

I like the looks of the one Old School talked about, but my purpose was not to look good, just blend in. So I got the black one. Besides if it is only a sticker, well, the extra money for the sticker is not worth it.

So far I really like it.

I carry concealed (thus my question): Does the holster keep the gun grip against your ribs? I went through a batch of holsters until I found one that pulled the pistol against my body. I like paddle, but none that I tried would keep the grip close.
