Hi,

What's the best way to bend 40 mag lips in to feed 9mm bullets? (for higher capacity)

Those mags are STRONG! can't see a good way to do it cleanly...

Thanks!

I used a pair of smaller pliers, the kind whose jaws have two flat opposable surfaces. If you don't have some like that they sell assortments of pliers kits at Lowe's and Home Depot for not too much. I wrapped the mag lip in a layer of Post-It Note. I had to hold the mag in my lap, get a good grip on both the mag and pliers, and use some muscle to bend it correctly. I started to try the "hammer tap" method, but decided against it.

I pinched them in a vise (holding the mag). It allowed be to gradually close them without the risk of overbending.

It does not take much.

Buy some Beretta 92 mags and use those, if you want something cheap to use.

Once you start screwing around with mags, you will have malfunctions. Metal can be 'bent' only so many times before it fails and or loses shape..
