I have an XD 40 Service model that I have found to be just a little to bid for a concealed carry so I'm going to get an XD 40 sub-compact. I'd like to get something that could go in the small of the back and on the inside of the belt line.
Any thoughts?
Also the price on the XD Sub-compact is $450 NIB is this a good price?

Short answer: there is no quantifiable "best". Just what works for each individual. What I like may not be what you like, or what the next poster likes.

And SOB holsters are a terrible idea. Great way to do serious injury to yourself in the case of a fall.

The price isn't bad.

I'm agreement with Cuda on this one, the small-of-back can lend itself to serious spinal injuries if you were to slip and fall (or be knocked down in an altercation). I use the Comp-Tac Minotaur Holster very comfortable for my XDm 40 Compact and i know a few others that use that same for a range of guns. But at this point just throwing out options, as said before figure out what works for you.

I've got a crossbreed supertuck and I would highly recommend it. I too would recommend against carring in SOB. Its not only a dangerous place to carry but for the small time I carried there it was also very uncomforatable. Get a good holster and a good belt and you will usually find you can conceal most guns in the 3:00-4:30 position very easily.
