Besides XD9 which I know most of you have...what would be your secondary choice of handgun in 9mm caliber?

If money were no object, I would say the Sig P226 X-Five. :wink:

If money were an object, I would rank:

1. Sig P226
2. SA 1911-A1 in 9mm
3. Browning Hi-Power

If I already had an XD and wanted aother 9mm of different make, I would buy a Sig in 9mm. The P226 or the P229 are both very nice guns.

As these guys said... a Sig would be very nice. My grandfather has a P228 and it's awesome.

If you'd still prefer plastic, give the Walther P99 in 9mm a try. This gun remains one of the smoothest shooting 9mm pistols I've ever shot. I have a .40 P99, buddy has the 9mm. I love my .40, BUT, there's something about that 9mm.

If I had to pick one word to describe it, it would be "butter".

P.S. if you've never tried one, try it! It sounds corny, but there's just something about the way it feels when it's fired. The action is unbelieveably smooth and crisp, hard to describe.

Yeah, Sigs are good guns and since the reconditioned guns are around $500, it makes them a bit more in my price range.

I'd say in this order:
-Sig P226 (i like the ST variant myself)
-USP (but i'd prefer a .45 for the usp full size)
-Glock 19 (Yes, guys, i said glock. My only complaint with glocks is the grip angle)

Depends on what you want it for, if it's another full size go with one of the Sigs, if you want something smaller I'd go with a Kahr.
